Blyth Star's unique range of activities and training means that there's always something everyone can enjoy, with plenty of opportunities for individuals to grow and develop new skills in an atmosphere of mutual trust and support.

The Steamboat is a Mental Health Support Centre. It provides a socially interactive environment that supports people to avoid isolation and loneliness, establish friendships and maintain their mental health and wellbeing.

The Stakeford Nurseries sheltered work project offers a variety of gardening activities both indoors and outdoors through every season.

As part of our Stakeford Nurseries project, our gardening team offers a service to elderly and disabled people in our community and we also undertake a number of commercial horticultural projects.

Our fully equipped Woodwork Department provides sheltered employment and vocational skills training to those needing a focused and supportive environment.

The Woodfuel Centre provides opportunities for people in a sheltered, working factory environment. Through the production of renewable fuel from sustainable sources, the project trains and supports disabled people as well as providing quality products to the local community.
